The Timeless Maqam of Habib Noh

Spiritual Oasis in the City

In the bustling heart of Singapore lies the Maqam Habib Noh, a jewel in the Masjid Haji Muhammad Salleh complex. For over a century, this respected site has been a sanctuary for those seeking spiritual solace and communal connection. Here, the legacy of Habib Noh – born Sayyid Noh bin Muhammad in 1788 and a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad SAW radiates compassion and wisdom. Known for his love for the less fortunate and his counsel against greed and grudges, Habib Noh’s teachings continue to inspire many till today.

His Maqam, a testament to his life, remains a pilgrimage site where thousands annually pay homage, some journeying from distant lands. Today, the maqam is not just a monument but a vibrant center of faith and culture, welcoming diverse communities to celebrate, learn, and connect.

Yet, the passage of time and the impact of these trials have left their mark. The shrine and part of the mosque now need extensive repairs and restoration, requiring an estimated three million dollars. Our primary goal is to ensure all our congregants and visitors’ comfort, convenience, and safety and maximize our positive impact across the community.
